Overview

The Sector 14 Clean-Up and Restoration Project was launched on 13 June 2025 in Faridabad, Haryana, to address critical sanitation and infrastructure issues in the locality. With a strong focus on improving cleanliness, environmental upkeep, and drainage functionality, the project targeted approximately 40% of the sector, especially the most neglected and high-need areas.

Over the course of 20+ working days, a dedicated team of workers carried out daily clean-up and restoration tasks. The initiative included sanitation drives, tree pruning, solid waste removal, and drainage construction—each aimed at enhancing the livability and safety of Sector 14. This project serves as a model for phased and sustainable urban restoration.

What We Did

Over a span of 20+ days, we carried out a focused clean-up and restoration effort in approximately 40% of Sector 14, Faridabad. A rotating team of 10–15 workers was deployed daily, contributing a total of 246 man-days. The scope of work included sanitation drives, tree pruning, maintenance of green spaces, solid waste collection and disposal, and construction and clearing of drainage lines in key localities. These actions targeted the most affected areas to bring immediate and visible improvements.

Outcomes

The project led to a significant transformation in the serviced parts of the sector. Streets and public areas became cleaner and more accessible, green spaces were better maintained, and water drainage improved in problem zones. Residents reported a noticeable boost in the overall environment, hygiene, and safety. The effort not only resolved existing issues but also set a positive example for sustainable and phased urban clean-up initiatives.
